This is a disassembled pipe alongside a bag that was used to keep the two pieces together when not in use.  This artifact was “collected” by a man named Robert Rymill in 1929 and it was reported that it had belonged to a woman from Piikani who was also possibly a Sun Dance woman. Rymill found this while working for Cambridge University’s Museum to find historical pieces from the Canadian prairies. After Rymill’s expedition across Canada and the US the pipe, along with the rest of the artifacts he found, were shipped to England where they currently remain in MAA’s  storage in Cambridge. MAA is the abbreviation for Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
