View Four: Upper Right
The upper right corner of this story robe depicts another figure in yellow in combat with another figure in red-brown. More details of the scene are apparent, with the yellow figure wearing feathers on his head, a necklace with a claw or tooth, and a red sash around his waist. He is striking the red-brown figure with what appears to be a spear, while his enemy fights back with a knife. Evident by the footprint track, the yellow figure has walked away from a dead body. Like the yellow figures at the bottom of the story robe, this figure is holding what may be a representation of the enemy’s scalp, as the dead body the yellow figure has walked away from has blood around the head and no hair, and the enemy he is fighting is alive and has long hair. Almost every yellow figure who is depicted as walking away from a dead body throughout this story robe is holding one of these objects, while the body has blood around the head and no hair.
